Armor of God

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

So I'm a little behind on my posts lately, but I thought I would post my Sunday Sharing a little late.
As some of you may know, Steven and I have been helping Kevin Freeman with is book Secret Weapon. Kevin wrote this book to make people aware and how to protect themselves. He quotes 1 Corinthians 10:31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." He is doing this for God not for himself. He is doing this for our country. Since we have started I think the enemy has been attacking. Our dog Ben got very sick yesterday and I spent the entire day cleaning the carpets. Then we have a few kid issues this past week, which I know is common, but still you have to deal with them and sometimes that's hard too. Thankfully Ben is better. Other members of our team have been sick and have had various other issues. So when the enemy attacks isn't it nice that we can put on the armor God gives us so we can fight the enemy? Have you put on your armor?

There's a Gift For Everyone

This is my favorite time of year! Particularly the White Elephant Gift exchange! You know you love them! Here's Jen with her new books! The Busy Book for Toddlers. I'm not sure what that other one is she is holding, but at least over the break she will have something to read!
And here are Ken and Kelli with their new package of Depends and decanter. I must say though Kelli didn't end up with the Depends. Derrick did and apparently there is a road trip involved soon and he won't have to make as many stops on the way!
And this is for the person who wants to not worry about getting up on time! Because this clock is so bright you will be up all night and not have to worry about the alarm going off cause you will be awake from your bright shiny new clock. I'm sure Eric will love this one!

So it was a great night! Thank you Harbours for hosting!!!

And the winner is....

"As we say, the hotter the heat, the harder the steel. No pressure, no diamonds. We compete, we win. We are Baylor. Baylor we are, Baylor we'll always be, but it's up to us to define what that means, and this Heisman Trophy is only the beginning of that process." Robert Griffin III, Heisman Trophy Winner, Baylor University. Sic'em Bears!

RG III

I think this is the most unusual football season I've seen in a long time. All the big teams..OU, UT, A&M didn't perform like I thought they would. I went into this college football season as I did any other season. High hopes for Baylor, but wasn't keeping my fingers crossed. Every season it's a tough schedule for Baylor..OU, UT, Tech, and A&M. But this year was different. We have RG III. Probably the best Baylor quarterback I've seen...well...in my lifetime anyway. I know there are many others, but wow..this guy really leads the pack. He's a great leader, a Heisman candidate and has aspirations to go to law school. Wow!

So if you would've asked me at the beginning of the season if I was excited about Baylor's team? I would say I was a little unsure. But now...we are #12 in the BCS rankings, we have a quarterback who is a Heisman candidate and we were able to beat some really good teams this year. I'm so proud to be a Baylor graduate. Now I don't have to listen to those who put Baylor's football team down and say they will never have a chance. Well now they have their chance! It's their turn to shine!

In All Things!

My friend Jonni does a verse with a picture every Sunday. I thought I would join in by sharing one for today. I hope you don't mind Jonni. :)
Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Well Done Bears!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing on Saturday night so I just had to post! Still basking in the glory of this one! The Baylor Bears, my school, beat the #5 team in the nation! This was the first time EVER to beat OU! So all I can say is well done, Bears, well done!
